Orca Solar Lighting®. First and foremost, we are a lighting company. Our lighting products are powered by abundant free and clean energy.
Specifically, mission critical outdoor lighting for streets, car parks, roads, pathways and parks, reserves, jetties and pontoons, and temporary for construction and road works. We tend to attract customers who value great lighting outcomes, compliance, reliability, and a lower total lifecycle cost.
Being a designer, manufacturer, distributor and supplier across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, our sole focus is mission critical, industrial strength, reliable and outstanding lighting outcomes.
Company History:
Orca Solar Lighting® opened our doors in 2007. We only do solar lighting, this has been our sole focus since day one. In 2014, Orca Solar Lighting® delivered the largest solar lighting project in Australia’s history, all the outdoor street, car park and area lighting for the Department of Defence Robertson Barracks in the NT. Throughout our history we have enjoyed steady and controlled growth, our priority has been to always deliver great service and product, without allowing large growth plans to ever get in the way of this. In May 2023, the company was acquired by the owner of a small group of electrical companies based in South East Queensland.

We have fostered many very long and mutually beneficial relationships with our customers and suppliers over the years, in fact most of our major suppliers we have been dealing with for over 12 years now.

Products or Services:
Orca Solar Lighting® provides lighting advice, lighting designs, and supply of industrial strength solar bollard lights and overhead commercial solar lights for streets, shared pathways, flag lighting for remote intersections, car parks, parks and reserves, pontoons, jetties and marinas, and relocate-able solar street lights for construction and road upgrades.
Awards and Accreditations:
Orca Solar Lighting® holds the Localbuy and Local Government Procurement preferred supplier contract for solar lighting. This enables all NSW, QLD, and South Australian local government organisations, as well as some state government departments and educational organisations in these states, to purchase from Orca Solar Lighting, without the imposition of having to go to tender or source three quotes, whilst providing peace of mind the buyer is dealing with a prequalified and quality supplier on competitive terms.
