Overview
Forbes Council received a state government grant to employ farmers struggling from the drought to work within the community on different projects. One of these projects was to illuminate a 4 km stretch of the Lake Forbes pathway. After a lengthy processs with community consultation, See Solar was engaged to supply 400 SBL series 2 solar lighting bollards making this the largest installation of solar bollards in Australia.
The SBL 2 was the right choice for this project because of its IP68 rating (completely submersible) as the lake sits in a flood zone and this product is extremely vandal resistant, with an IK10 rating.
Forbes Council were also impressed that the SBL solar lighting bollards are the only certified Australian Made product on the market, and are backed with a 7 year warranty.
